Today I wanted to give you a couple of tips on writing amazing descriptions for your digital products – I’m always looking for easy ways to improve conversion rates and I think this is a good one. We always need to make sure that we are catering for all types of people with the way that well sell (and serve). Many people are detail orientated and love to read – so really drilling down on our product descriptions can be powerful.
Try to put yourself in their shoes – what problem does your product solve?
Does it save time, money or bring joy?
Mention all of this in your listing description!
Your description needs to include more than just specific – explain to your customer how this product serves a need.
Make sure you include all the relevant information including:
Sizes, Whether it’s an instant download, How long delivery is, whether there are colour variations, and how to contact you with questions!
You can do this clearly in dot point format so your customer can easily find any specific information they need.
When writing your description, lay it out in a thoughtful way.
Format into paragraphs in a way where at a glance you can quickly see key features.
People get easily overwhelmed by a lot of text, however breaking it down into clear easily digested paragraphs helps them find and read the information they need.
Making these simple tweaks to your descriptions can make all the difference and they aren’t complicated (or really even time consuming!)
